Rupa Shastri
BSPT, MSPT, CLWT, CORE

Rupa Shastri is the founding director of Frontline Physical Therapy in Largo, Florida and is a certified physical therapist with over 25 years of experience.

Rupa graduated in physical therapy in 1989 in India and moved to the United States to work and pursue higher education in this field. She completed her post-graduate master’s degree in 1996 along with a Diploma in Rehab Administration from Chicago. Rupa completed CLWT (Certified Lymphedema and Wound Therapist) certification in 2018 and CORE (Comprehensive Oncology Rehab Expert) in 2020. She is currently completing her certification as a Cancer Exercise Specialist (CES), Dry Needling for Pain Relief, and Instrument-Assisted Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). In 2023, Rupa received her diploma in MSKUS.

Rupa has worked in almost every setting of Physical Therapy from acute care, subacute, acute rehab, outpatient, and home health. She has been a Rehab Director and a Senior Therapist throughout her professional tenure. She has also been a Clinical Instructor for students in Masters and DPT programs for over 15 years.

Rupa is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) since 1996 and a member of the Oncology and Private practice sections. She is also a part of APTA’s SIG in Oncology currently working on Falls Prevention and Balance Disorders in Cancer patients.
